About

Homologated in 2018 by Citroën Racing in Versailles as the C3 R5, later renamed C3 Rally2 when the FIA restructured its class names. It replaced the DS3 R5 and carried forward a customer programme that stretches back through the Xsara and Saxo to the beginning of Citroën's rally involvement.

Citroën withdrew from top-flight works rallying after 2019, which left the C3 Rally2 as the marque's entire competition presence — and it has held that position well, remaining a front-running choice in ERC and national series years after homologation. Its platform also underpins the Lancia Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, giving the design a second life under a different badge.
