About

Hyundai Motorsport's customer car, homologated in 2021 and built at the team's Alzenau base in Germany alongside its Rally1 effort. It replaced the i20 R5 and shares its road-car identity with the i20 N hot hatch, part of a deliberate push to make the N sub-brand mean something competitive.

It made its European Rally Championship debut at the 50th Barum Czech Rally Zlín in 2021 — the event pictured here. Hyundai came to customer rallying later than Škoda or Ford and has never matched their sales volume, so the i20 N Rally2 is a less common sight on an entry list; drivers who choose one tend to do so for the factory's direct engineering support rather than for the privateer ecosystem around it.
