About

Built by M-Sport at Dovenby Hall in Cumbria, and the first car homologated to the Rally1 formula. It won on its competitive debut at Rallye Monte-Carlo in 2022, Sébastien Loeb taking his eightieth world championship victory and becoming the oldest winner of a WRC round, with Isabelle Galmiche the first female co-driver to win one since 1997.

The only car in the class fielded by an independent rather than a full factory team, which tells in development rate rather than in any single handling flaw. M-Sport used it to pioneer the non-hybrid Rally1 concept at Rally Poland in 2024, a full season before the FIA made that configuration the rule for everyone.
