About

Latvian rally driver competing for M-Sport Ford in the FIA World Rally Championship. Son of a former rally driver who went on to serve two decades as mayor of Liepāja, he grew up in the town that hosts Latvia's world championship round. Won the ERC3 Junior title in 2018 and in 2020 became the first Latvian to win a Junior WRC rally.

Made his Rally1 debut at Rally Poland in 2024 in M-Sport's experimental non-hybrid Ford Puma, finishing fifth after running as high as second — the drive that made his name. A gravel specialist known for raw, aggressive pace, particularly on the fast flowing roads of Poland, Latvia and Estonia.
