Belgian rally driver competing for Hyundai Motorsport in the FIA World Rally Championship, and the 2024 world champion — the first Belgian to take the title, and the first drivers' crown in Hyundai's history.

From the country's small German-speaking community in the east, he is a native German speaker who calls his pacenotes in French. Has driven for Hyundai since the team entered the championship in 2014 and taken every one of his rally wins with it, the longest driver–manufacturer partnership on the grid. His maiden victory came at Rallye Deutschland in 2014, days after rolling the car six times in shakedown and having it rebuilt overnight. The title itself took a record-equalling five runner-up finishes and the longest wait in championship history.
